These are not experiences created simply for sightseeing.
They are opportunities to share the everyday life we live here with travelers.
At Ichiju Issai no Yado Chabu Dining, every stay includes a few basic experiences designed to help you connect with our everyday life.
From the day you arrive, you will gradually experience everyday life in rural Japan -sharing meals around the table, walking through our fields, and spending time in conversation with us.
Recommended on the day of arrival
We will show you around the rice fields and vegetable gardens that we care for every day, while sharing stories about life in the satoyama and the rhythms of the seasons.
Every evening
We prepare dinner together while talking about Japanese home cooking and seasonal ingredients.
We value the time we spend around the irori hearth, sharing meals and talking about our different lives and cultures.
During the Satoyama Life Living Experience Stay (2 nights / 3 days to 4 nights / 5 days), you will choose one Shared Rural Life Experience per day,
for a total of one to three experiences, depending on the length of your stay.
Each of the six experiences offers a different doorway into the life we share as hosts. Choose according to your interests -whether that is farming and nature, food culture, or connecting with local people.
All experiences include lunch and take approximately 4–5 hours, including lunchtime.
Take part in the small-scale farming that we do as part of our everyday life. Through seasonal farm work and a walk around the local village, you will experience life in the satoyama.
